We just lit the Hanukkah candles celebrating the gift of light that lasted for 8 days. Then we prayed - our hearts grateful for His Light that will last for all eternity. What a joy that the greatest gift given lives in our hearts. This is the reason for Christmas..Hi Light shining in the darkness. His Light keeping back the enemy. His Light for eternity. Thanks for sharing. Indeed, the purpose and central core of our daily life should be God---to be like Jesus. And unfortunately, a lot of people miss the part of Jesus during Christmas. It's so sad but it's true. We should remind everybody that it's the gift of God through the birth of Jesus Christ --whom He gave us to redeem our sins, is the main focus of Christmas and should be the main focus of our lives.

Seek Ye the kingdom first...one of my favorite verses.

I find that the world has taken hold of Christmas and has made it this huge, loud event. To be honest, I don't look forward to this season, only because of what it has become.

How wonderful it would be to celebrate with family and friends, in a quiet atmosphere without the worry "Did I get the right gift."
