I really enjoy the thought you put behind your comments too! You are so right-I've seen it again and again...people are too eager to blame Satan, when the reason is right in front of their eyes, if they would only own it. And there would be much forgiveness and healing if they would take responsibility.

I think pride has a lot to do with not owning up to something. That's something I think I'll get into with the next post.

That was a really good article Lori. Man! have i experienced this. I have seen people who try to hide their sins and not acknowledge them go almost insane. It is really sad because if they would only confess and admit thier wrong they would be free from the torment. But pride keeps them from doing that. And it's really upsetting when others come along and cater to the one who is guilt ridden and being convicted. Instead of them counseling them to repent and admit their wrong they will tell them that the guilt they are experiencing is from the enemy and they have done nothing wrong. Thus, what you have said will come to pass, which is: "It sure is hard to learn from mistakes we refuse to take responsibility for." And also as you stated, that person will never learn and will more than likely continue in his sin. And this happens way to much!

I know it's really hard at times, but the Word of God is so very true when it says that we need to leave this person to themselves so that God can deal with their heart. Yes, either they will repent or they will go to their grave without never experiencing peace again. How sad the latter one is and i could be wrong but i truly beleive that the majority of the time "if" (that's a big "IF")the person is left to himself he will choose going to his grave in torment instead of humbling himself and repenting because pride's roots grow deep in the heart of a man. I really hope i am wrong about that tho!
