“Whoever stubbornly refuses to accept criticism will suddenly be destroyed beyond recovery.” (NLT)
”He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, will suddenly be destroyed , and that without remedy.” (NKJV)
Both of these are verse 1 in Proverbs 29, but from different translations. Even though my Bible Commentary for this verse focuses on refusing criticism, I immediately think of salvation. I think the majority of people reading this are already saved, they’ve already made a decision to accept the free gift from God…His only Son, who laid down His life to bring people back into a relationship with Him. But I feel I should speak to those who haven’t accepted Christ as Savior; Please realize time is running out. God’s salvation is right in front of us. The fact is that we cannot tell when we’ve had our last chance to change.
Maybe you’re not sure what to believe, but for some reason you keep coming back here, or perhaps you spend time visiting other Christian sites, or are drawn to learn more about God? That’s the Holy Spirit…. that’s Wisdom calling. Do you remember how Proverbs began…
Wisdom shouts in the streets.
She cries out in the public square.
She calls to the crowds along the main street,
To those gathered in front of the city gate:
“How long, you simpletons,
Will you insist on being simpleminded?
How long will you mockers relish your mocking?
How long will you fools hate knowledge?
Come and listen to my counsel.
I’ll share my heart with you
And make you wise. Proverbs 1: 20-23
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.” Romans 10: 9-10
Salvation is as close as your own lips and heart. People think it must be a complicated process, but it is not. If you believe in your heart and say with your mouth that Christ is the risen Lord, you will be saved.

Very cool.
hi Lori! I love the new look of your blog....it's been a while since I have blog hopped...school's really tiring, please help me pray for my exams and quizzes, but at the same time i love being out and meeting new people because it allows me to praise Him more. There's a lot of struggles and problems but it's really amazing because it is in this times that I could see that He is working on and through me.
God bless you more! dropped by to say hi and get some inspiration for my exam later.
Thanks Paige. Maybe I'll keep this one for a while...LOL! Yes, I am standing with you in prayer and faith for anything related to school. It's always through the darkest times and the struggles that we learn how to see God's involvement. Blessings!
